About the Position
Ensemble Music Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional Brass & Beg. Piano Instructor to teach part-time at Reeder Music Academy in Danville, CA and our sister schools, Music & Beyond in Alamo & Dublin, and New World Music Academy in Pleasanton. Ability to teach multiple instruments (especially piano) a plus. We are looking for teachers who will instruct IN PERSON!
Preferred hours for this position include afternoons and evenings with a preference for at least one weekend day per week. The teacher who takes this position will receive several students immediately, as we have a waitlist. This position also has the option of moving towards full-time work with benefits, especially for teachers who teach multiple instruments and/or are willing to travel to multiple locations.
Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in Music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.
Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $35-40/hour for private lessons. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job. Employees who average 30 hours per week are eligible for health, vision, and dental insurance.
