Job Description

The Music Connection is seeking a fun and professional part-time staff member to help administer our Orland Park-area music school. This staff member will serve as the primary point of contact for our students, families, and teachers to ensure smooth functioning of our day-to-day operations.

The desired hours for this position are 2-3 days a week, generally starting in the afternoon and working through closing time (usually between 8-9 PM), totaling approximatly 20 hours per week.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Greeting students arriving for lessons and ensuring that teachers stay on schedule
  • Responding to scheduling-related phone calls and emails from students and families
  • Interfacing with teachers to help them manage their student schedules
  • General administrative tasks as needed

The successful candidate will be an organized, motivated self-starter with a strong customer service mindset. A demonstrated interest in music and music education would be an asset.

Pay will be commensurate with experience. A 401(k) with company matching is available to all of our employees after 3 months on the job.
